SPRING WEATHER
This is the weather I shared with you
When we sat with sweaty shirts
On burning concrete and staining grass
This is the weather where
We lamented the warmth we shared with and for each other
Steaming, but refusing to let go
This is the weather I shared with you
Reddening in the sun
Swilling lukewarm water and lying in the dirt
This is the weather where we fell in love
But now you’re gone
So what am I supposed to do now?
When we sat with sweaty shirts
On burning concrete and staining grass
This is the weather where
We lamented the warmth we shared with and for each other
Steaming, but refusing to let go
This is the weather I shared with you
Reddening in the sun
Swilling lukewarm water and lying in the dirt
This is the weather where we fell in love
But now you’re gone
So what am I supposed to do now?
