GHOST NOTES BY THE FLAME
With these abysmal eyes
I have seen what I am
And seen what is to be
Nothing is what it is
And what is should have been
Only what I made it
When you see yourself in the mirror
Be careful when a fallen star
Gives life with its wishful fires
Think carefully of deep desires
Love lost and it all seems the same
Ghost notes by the burning flame
Inject the nightmare into your veins
Ghost notes by the flame
Gasp for a lasting breath
Like a moth to the moon
Always out of my reach
Life written in the scars
Spell your name on my skin
Tattooed by a razor
When you see yourself in the mirror

The author encourages honest critique.
This flows like song lyrics... I read it a few times and I enjoyed its pace.... I dig the emoting of possible darkness due to loss of an ambiguous nature, as it's written, but the alluding is there-letting the reader come to our own conclusions.... My only issue is the font and it's starkly bold and italics ... I'm partial to using the Bold or the italics to emphasize certain words, but that's just that's my only weirdo peccadillo.... no biggie.
