Euphoria
I only need the people who need me
it doesn’t matter if you’re blood, you're family
when it all falls apart I will be there
just call out my name and I’ll run to you
no matter how hard this world attacks
just take my hand, we can fight back
as the earth is beautiful
love is beautiful
feel the euphoria
it’s unrealistic to expect perfection
anyway flaws are what make us perfection
dark times will always exist
too many people with too many opinions
just close your eyes
listen to the voice inside
believe you are beautiful
~*you are beautiful*~
at times my frustration gets out of hand
but it’s only because I’m passionate
some people use ignorance as a weapon
so I give that ignorance right back
I just want to see a perfect world
hand and hand with my perfect girl
show everyone my euphoria
too many people with too many problems
we all have pain
so we push that pain onto others
as the stars are beautiful
love is beautiful
feel the euphoria
It’s overwhelming to be so powerless
control is given to those with the most currency
inequality will always exist
too many people with too much bias
just close your eyes
listen to the voice inside
believe you are beautiful

take that rage
box it all up, then let it go
listen to what you know is truth
block out those negative energies
every sickness that plagues this world
can be combated with heart
believe in the road you travel
kill the history that sits heavily on your shoulders
let those scars heal up
and show everyone your euphoria

I'm hit right in all my feels, especially recently. I think this flows like song lyrics, it's so smooth when I read it out loud. There are so many lines that stick out but the repetition of the title really works so well as does the call to action /awareness of *you are beautiful* which Just made me smile and say "Hell yeah!" However, it's this line of "kill the history that sits heavily on your shoulders"...
that makes me nod my head in agreement and want to do exactly that... and then fully show off my euphoria!!

This is and edit, of and edit, of an edit edit haha. Wrote the original many years ago. I was going through some bad depression. I needed something that cleared the mind at the time. Though recently been feeling similar when it comes to outlooks. This poem came to mind so I wanted to update it.
