CELESTIAL CAROUSEL

CELESTIAL CAROUSEL

This is our final attempt to communicate with you curious, yet cautious, beings.
Not all is how it apparently seems within plain sight nor within your bottomless dreams.
All previous attempts have been wiped away
Throughout violent eons of yesterday
monuments constructed and understood once
throughout countless cultures slowly crumbling away
remnants of whirling worlds
and fading words forgetting to stay
with fading eyes unable to see
within a war torn world of blaspheme
nothing more than a ghost
torn from an unforgiving host
Dessemination of a messenger's message
always becomes the reconstruction
of a new mighty tribe's desire to dominate
PURE POWER
PURE HATE
PURE DESTRUCTION
MANKIND'S FATE.....
Even our formulas and words
imprinted upon fields of corn are worn
mocked and recreated
by tricksters, duplicated
Any voice we had has faded
The love we offered you is hated
betrayed and traded
understated............
Given and taken, taken again and destroyed
all knowledge sent back to an unending void
Instead of a new corn field to be filled in
we began studying your wondering children
circling on ponies in hopes of spinning up to the skies
and to witness the endless sea of immortality
In a place where new life is born, and death dies
within the untainted eyes of eternity.....
Knights and princesses riding mighty steeds
spiraling up within spaceships to plant their new seeds
Astronauts and ambassadors
ready for a new world to hold
of which magic has long before been told
flying up towards the heavens in a flying disk in bliss
if only our final hope can translate this

Author's Note
I ran across this while sifting through notes. I won the first place trophy in
MadameLavender's PONYHENGE competition, and realized that I never did publish it outside of that. So here it is. THANK YOU MadameLavender
