The Dead Remembered

 

She remembered the hiding place
where she met her soulmate
the little hut at the cove

he had promised to wait
until she graduated
but he disappeared

she mourned him
and grieved for years
until she knew he had died

the sea roared angry
that day, his boat capsized
he drowned before saying goodbye
