Hero?
I'm the Hero of your fairy tale.
The one, will always be here.
(while others ran away)
Even if you aren't.
Am I not?
Held your hand,
couldn't feel..
Begged to see me.
To feel for a second,
but failed.
Have shed tears,
Oh yes, so many.
Learned to see you,
hidden behind walls.
Remembered, I know you!
Every little part,
every secret chamber, completely.
I held the key!
No one else, me.
Am I not?
Wanted to be the Hero
of your fairy tale.
Helped you to feel better
The only one, really there, with all.
Even if you weren't here.
Never stopped fighting.
One day I hope you'll see, I was your Hero, me.
Till then, I'll shed tears.

Sometimes it is difficult to support those who are dealing with depression. I took the words fairy tale, because life is supposed to feel like that, but it isn't for some of us.

Wow. This is an amazing way to see things. As someone who battles with depression, I know that sometimes we forget to give credit where credit is due and appreciate people like you.

Sometimes I want to scream that it will all be alright, promise that it will never come back, be & remain strong for the other, while that is not (always) possible, and I do realize that this is a fight the other has to win. Nomatter how badly I want to fight in that fight, and be their hero, it's something I can't solve, if I could I would. I don't have the solution/cure. And for someone standing right next to someone who is struggling with depression, well that's very intense. So I wanted to show my feelings, and wrote this poem a while ago. I was hesitant to place it.. Glad you liked it! Thank you for your kind words, they are deeply felt.
