My Star Sister
Dear little girl
What were you thinking?
Running through life and space
Down right streaking through it
As if you're a shattering star
Burning out as you fly higher
Getting ever, ever so closer
To the peaceful end you desire
Flying past other stars, other galaxies
And sometimes explosive colliding
Oh, little girl, what are you doing
Flying to a place you can only imagine
Slow down a little, shimmer a bit longer
The end will be there, don't you doubt it
Please, don't burn out before you get there
Promise me you will make it to the glory
What were you thinking?
Running through life and space
Down right streaking through it
As if you're a shattering star
Burning out as you fly higher
Getting ever, ever so closer
To the peaceful end you desire
Flying past other stars, other galaxies
And sometimes explosive colliding
Oh, little girl, what are you doing
Flying to a place you can only imagine
Slow down a little, shimmer a bit longer
The end will be there, don't you doubt it
Please, don't burn out before you get there
Promise me you will make it to the glory
