When I think about all the 14th's of February        
That have come and gone in my life        
When I was young cards came regularly      
Now the silence cuts deep like a knife.      
But hey, Valentine's day is for the youngsters        
It's not for folk my age      
But try telling that to my heart as it hungers!      
Especially now that its found the courage..      
       
Courage to express itself freely      
Courage to say it how it is      
Even if it's still left on the shelf, really!      
It could be set free with one single kiss...      
That's all I ask, that's all my heart wants      
An affectionate heartfelt kiss      
Not one that stings, not one that taunts      
But one that when your gone, I will miss...      
       
Anyway I'm to old to think about Valentine's        
The man in me is much wiser than that      
I know what a love like your love brings      
That's the good place you've got me at..      
Every day would be like Valentine's day        
If only we gave each other a chance      
That's the way I see it, what more can I say?
