I Wonder
I wonder what you're wearing
The color of your eyes
The cut of your hair
I see you in the words you write
Words which read as the breath of life
And awaken me to wonder
At the beauty they create
Gazing at you
The warmth of your cheek caressed within my hand
Perhaps a scattering of light freckles smile beneath your eyes
Eyes which speak searchingly to mine
As I draw you near
For I would touch you as your words touch me
As the soft velvet of a kiss
Kiss me
That I might taste your magic
For a kiss is a timeless place where forever dreams
And all else falls away
Save you
For I would know truths no words could tell
Spoken only in your eyes
And sealed within a kiss
The color of your eyes
The cut of your hair
I see you in the words you write
Words which read as the breath of life
And awaken me to wonder
At the beauty they create
Gazing at you
The warmth of your cheek caressed within my hand
Perhaps a scattering of light freckles smile beneath your eyes
Eyes which speak searchingly to mine
As I draw you near
For I would touch you as your words touch me
As the soft velvet of a kiss
Kiss me
That I might taste your magic
For a kiss is a timeless place where forever dreams
And all else falls away
Save you
For I would know truths no words could tell
Spoken only in your eyes
And sealed within a kiss
