Fall
Grasping onto air
I fear I fell against my own will
Tears spilling over and flowing like an endless river
Screaming for nothing but wishing for everything
Smiling at the little things you do
The ones that make my heart flutter
As the butterflies dance in my stomach
And my face burns with heat
Terrified of what could be
What will happen when I close my eyes and try to dream
Bubbles form in my brain and words come out in senseless babble
My eyes glaze over and I see sparks fly when you smile
Your embrace
So warm and inviting lures me in with the feeling of safety
The tenderness in your arms and the need
Stupid stupid stupid
You let your guard down
Let someone into your heart
You jumped off the cliff
Now let's see if you land in water
Or on rocks.
I fear I fell against my own will
Tears spilling over and flowing like an endless river
Screaming for nothing but wishing for everything
Smiling at the little things you do
The ones that make my heart flutter
As the butterflies dance in my stomach
And my face burns with heat
Terrified of what could be
What will happen when I close my eyes and try to dream
Bubbles form in my brain and words come out in senseless babble
My eyes glaze over and I see sparks fly when you smile
Your embrace
So warm and inviting lures me in with the feeling of safety
The tenderness in your arms and the need
Stupid stupid stupid
You let your guard down
Let someone into your heart
You jumped off the cliff
Now let's see if you land in water
Or on rocks.
