Hidden Suffering
It was always there
faded ink~like tattoo
though we never knew
until she was gone
she was the strongest person I will ever know
she hid her pain
she hid her truths
she hid the blood and scars
she hid it all
under a tiny band~aid from her curious grandkids with a smile....

Dear ML,
Grandmothers are legendary warriors! They’ve seen everything and coped with more than anyone should have to and all for love and getting the next generations hopefully to a safer and kinder place. This is a beautiful and gut wrenching ode to these women. Gorgeous write. H🌷

Thanks babe. Wish she was alive now so I could hug her and talk to her as an adult. Not a lil snot nosed kid that has no clue. <3

Re. Hidden Suffering
I hope she didn't self harm nor did anyone harm her, scars that needed band aids makes me feel so concerned and sorry for her and wonder who caused them. You related about her in a loving manner. She must have gone through a lot without dramatising. Kudos.
