Lucifer

all angles and sides he smiled at me sizing me up
I understood his motives but I didn't mind
I wanted the company

enigmatic he spoke to something deep inside me
something of a metaphor myself he stirred me within
his broken smile and deadly sense of humor
was just what I needed to forget myself for a moment

he whispered inside the screaming doubt is the key to freedom
turn the lock and die to illusions
awaken in the cold ache

pornographic litanies inside the mad cult of desolation herald a new day
doxology be damned
on the altar of sacrifice, I bleed
a mourning moon receives you
enter with dalliances in your offering

the greed in your voice is telling
succumb to the crimson rain
receive of my body

all else is void
midnight takes you in his arms
child of naught
come home
