I keep thinking THEY are shitting me
I been told I am living in a free country
now THEY tell me I gotta wear a mask
everywhere I want to go?..what is up??
this does not sound right to me at all
what could I be missing??? telling me
I have to wear a mask and I am free
this makes me think THEY are trying
to control me in some way or another
maybe THEY are shitting me somehow

It's called an epidemic.
Don't worry. Sharia law is not about to be imposed. And what we're going through really isn't even that much of an imposition. If this was the Black death your "civil rights" would be severely curtailed. I don't know about your demographic, but I know lots and lots of people who have lost family members and friends to covid. It's not the black death, but it's not unserious either. Quit your immature bitching and moaning and don't be a dick. Nobody right now is angling to take away your *precious freedoms.* It's about public health, and *other* people's lives. (I know...*other people lives...* Who cares, they don't matter, right?) Maybe you don't care about your life, or more to the, obnoxiously unseeing /unthinking / uncaring Selfish point, perhaps your economic demographic or genetic base just plain isn't affected by it.
Or perhaps, and to give you the benefit of the doubt, your "precious" lifestyle (the one the medical establishment is trying to to take away from you? lol) doesn't afford you the opportunity to actually meet people from completely different demographics than your own, and you just haven't realized?
Just for the record? We are a Free people in the "west" right now, free-er then humans have ever been in recorded history, *even* if they "ask" us (through legislative means) to wear masks during a virulent influenza.
I don't care how old you are, your perspective as expressed in this poem is childish and selfish. And if you think selfishness is a virtue, than maybe you're correct, and our society really is doomed.
