I write poetry
Some say I’m a poet
I don’t
More like
I spew
emotions
on paper
and hope
they sound pretty
I don’t pay much
attention
to formalities
I just want
the pain inside me
set free
Picture me,
like the exorcist, but
Instead of covering
the walls
with pea soup
I’m projectile vomiting
fragments
of my mind
The ugliness
displayed haphazardly
across the walls
And I call it
art
Inviting others to
bear witness
and gawk
at the spectacle, that is
my life
All
in the name of,
Purging my soul
