for tomorrow's horizon
morning arrives warm, bright and open
countless buoys scatter this vast stretch of ocean
sun diamonds glitter atop the clear water
secret sea treasures whose beauty shan’t falter
on the point, the tide crawls in and out around the center
setting the time of our routine adventure
to find and visit old-named spaces in between,
to see the rocks we’ve dubbed here, how silly it may seem
some childhood things I can’t let pass,
and my heart’s call for you, I know shall last
for although ships a-plenty do I see,
I fear that, today, none shall bring you to me

on the point, the tide crawls in and out around the center
