to stop caring
to stop caring
I donīt want to know of the six million dead
they came back and endlessly take revenge on the innocent.
I donīt want to know of the suffering world
I will sleep in my bed and dream of harmony we can otherwise
not obtain.
Why should I care about dead and starving children in Yemen?
There is nothing I can do about it shaking my head in dismay
when feeling nothing about their plight.
Why should I care about hungry dogs begging under the table?
Cringing animals who deep down hate us for what we have done
robbing them of the pride they lost once upon a time.
To survive this suffering, my heart must be made of a stone,
and my soul be of gleaming steel.
Wars have been our destiny; I live it to you, pining for peace.
