OUR AMAZING LOVE

An unknown number
of poems have been written
about love, each one
representing the outpouring
of heart from sad to glad;
each one felt more by the writer
than the reader.
Yet, here I am offering
up thoughts about
OUR love.

Ours is a continuing love story,
each day a chapter is written,
each month a portion of
our love story has matured.

Our love is a safety net
it keeps our hearts intact,
where true love is
all hurt and pain vanishes

Every night when I am away
from you my sweet forever love,
I hug my pillow pretending
I am hugging you--I miss you.

You come to me on the wind
in a blue garland gown;
your hair flows to earth,
providing a shield for our love.
