Devils Watching Me

Family over everything believe me when I tell you that.
My momma almost died man!
Its hard enough just being black.
I damn near sold my soul back in "09" for this rap game.
I didn't sign the contract after reading through the last page.
Survivor of the "Crack-Era."
Preach Mason Betha man.
Uptown was a battle ground kilogram measuring.
Somehow I lost control then the whip, flipped and rolled.
Til this day,
My baby mother swear I ran her off the road.
Look.
"Its hard to show love when the one you loves corrupted."
Your people turn against you, label you the prime suspect.
I'm living by the sword.
I swear that death is on my doorsteps!
These hollows hit your brain, you have to pick them out with forceps! Sheesh, stop playing.
The foresight like FORTNITE.
Ever since conception I been lit like a porch light.
It ain't nowhere to hide holmes, ain't nowhere to run.
Heart beating like a bass drum. Momma can you feel me?
I been trapping trying to make a better living out of poverty.
Tell me where's the love.
I can feel these devils watching me.
They plot and follow every move that I make.
Do you understand that we at war?
I got to play it safe!
Chasing money like a athlete. Run it like a race.
Running up, like you in the way, iron on the waist.
People speaking on my name like they know me.
I don't know them though.
Made it on my own.
I don't owe them suckers nothing.
So...
