The Confessional
The Confessional
Peter walks sulking with his head down as his mother guides him down the sidewalk to the front doors of the church.
He tries to slow down but his mother has ahold of his hand and is on a death march.
In her eyes, Peter must confess for stealing the candy bar,
Then ask for forgiveness so his soul doesn’t drift too far
into sin and darkness and become in league with the devil.
She wants Peter to remain on her level.
Together, they walk though the front doors of the church and enter inside.
They are greeted by father Joseph who warmly welcomes them in pride.
He knows they are coming; Erin arranged the meeting ahead of time.
She’s worried Peter is headed for a life of crime
since he stole a candy bar and showed no remorse.
Peter is just a kid being a kid of course.
Father Joseph tells Erin his meeting with Peter shouldn’t take too long,
then tells Peter to come along.
Peter follows still with his head down.
He’s trying to hide the fact his face carries a might by frown.
Father Joseph leads Peter to a private room and goes inside.
Peter follows in right behind him in one fluid stride.
Father Joseph instructs Peter to take a seat in a chair.
He takes a seat in a chair directly across from Peter and says a quick prayer.
He then begins the conversation hoping Peter will quickly admit guilt.
He’s already running late for dinner with his friend Wilt.
“What would you like to confess to me Peter?
You can confess anything and will be forgiven since you are a believer.”
“My mom forced me to come father, I don’t have anything I want to confess.
I don’t really want to be here if you can guess.”
“Peter, your mother told me you stole a candy bar and didn’t feel bad about it.
That’s not right you must admit.
Stealing is a sin for I can forgive you for that sin if you confess what you have done.
Stealing can also get you in a lot of trouble, and getting in trouble is never fun.”
“The candy bar was mine to take
and it tasted even better than my last birthday cake!”
“Why was it yours to take Peter?”
“The strange man who talked to me in the gas station told me it was mine to take.
I’m sorry taking it caused my mom a headache,
but it was my right to take it.”
“Just because some man tells you its ok to do something doesn’t mean it is.
He was just trying to corrupt your soul like he has already corrupted his.”
“Well I’m not sorry for it father.
Now can I go back to my mother?”
Since you refuse to admit to your sin, your punishment is going to be more severe.
You won’t enjoy it, let’s make that clear.”
Peter goes to speak but as he does, he sees the strange man whispering into the ear of the priest.
The Strange man smiles as Peter as his heart beat nearly draws to a cease.
Peter stares into the eyes of the strange man and is terrified.
He feels tears forming in his eyes, he’s about to cry.
The priest gets up from his chair and approaches Peter.
The strange man remains in place still smiling rather eager.
The priest puts his hands on Peter and begins to rub his head.
Peters eyes fill with dread.
He looks at the priest and back at the strange man.
The strange man continues to smile as all is going according to plan.
The priest undoes he pants and drops them to the floor,
then tells Peter to open his mouth wide and be a good cock sucking whore.
Peter immediately begins to cry and looks at the strange man in confusion.
Surely this must all be an illusion.
The strange man sudden appears next to Peter and begins to whisper in his ear.
What he has to say, Peter will wish he never had to hear.
“Peter, I control the priest like I control you.
I control the catholic church through and through.
I control the government, I run the world.
I can read our thoughts as in your mind they swirl.
Now be a good boy, open your mouth and please this man.
The last thing you want to do is go against my plan.”
The strange man smiles even bigger as the priest abuses the boy.
As soon as its over, Peter runs out of the room, his heart drained of joy.
The priest tells his mother it took a bit longer to get him to confess,
and doing so caused Peter some stress,
but he has been forgiven and won’t steal again.
He would like to see Peter again but he’s not sure when.
Erin thanks the father and leaves the church proud Peter has been cleansed of his sin.
She returns home supporting a giant grin.
