Disdain
He promised her a rose garden
A huge house
With a golden shower.
Money and lust made her blind,
Not only as he often took
Her from behind
But the shower of gold
Brought back reality
As she felt his full disdain
And the full lot of her
Position in misery.

I was unsure of the third line meant the shower was made of gold or if it was the other kind...
But as they say, not everything that shines is gold.
