Candy Bar

They met each other at this place called the Candy Bar
He was wearing a purple t-shirt, she was wearing a leather jacker.
She had a gray beanie with cat ears on
They took the last train home, as they talked about music
And the stars shines like rhinestones in the night
-
They woke up in velvet mornings
Breakfast and movies
Night clubs and rubies
And time well spent in bed
But as you know, nothing ever lasts forever
Indifferent circumstances drew near
And soon came, change

God damn goodbyes
They're all we get these days
They hate to sit there, watch each other walk away

Don't you cry
They might meet some day
I wanna shake it up and throw it all away
 -
And the Candy Bar is now closed
The old movie theater is torn down
And time rolled over from the start
Two strangers a million miles apart
-
God damn goodbyes
They're all we get these days
They hate to sit there, watch each other walk away

But don't you cry
They might meet some day
I wanna shake it up and throw it all away

Please, oh baby
I said please, oh man
It's making me crazy, oh baby
Really driving mad
Really making me sad
Really driving mad
Really making me sad
Really driving mad
Really making me sad
