Long Gone Song
Then came the long lost song
Sleeping through winters long lost gone
With falling notes onto fallen leaves
A melody that hid in the colors of spring
Never faded by the moon or its shades
Or the shadows of stages where it once played
And all it took was for one note to rest
On a heavy heart on a heavy chest
To remember all that I did wrong
And then came the long lost song
To memories that sing only for you
To a damn song that I can’t undo
Sleeping through winters long lost gone
With falling notes onto fallen leaves
A melody that hid in the colors of spring
Never faded by the moon or its shades
Or the shadows of stages where it once played
And all it took was for one note to rest
On a heavy heart on a heavy chest
To remember all that I did wrong
And then came the long lost song
To memories that sing only for you
To a damn song that I can’t undo
