Wabi-Sabi

Dark desert pavement
blackened red stones carrying
a certain wabi with it's worn,
rich regal solitude

Ten ringed creosote lives
branches move as a thurifer
with censor her scents
spread like a religion.

Decomposing granite gracefully displaced by Iguanas agile climb.
Creamy
white leather skin
with minute spots, match fallen seedlings that lie still, gathered within a cradle of dregs that wait for monsoon

Rolling blow sand continues
it's claim of an abandoned
market crumbling pink stucco consumed
Doors and windows long
 since removed
yet the vintage attitude remains
as it shouts loudly over imposed crestfallen persuasion.

Names, quotes, poetry lamentations of real life
Speaking in utter silence
from the past
“Alice Loves Bobby Forever”, marked in blue, opposite
 “Kilroy was here “
Lives, scraps of history
on these walls a timeless
escape where thoughts joined
into a tapestry of calm solitude

Train cars drape gently
across the shoulders
of the surrounding foothills
where an ancient watershed
fades to rest in my heart.
