The Love of Elders

The children you raised have all moved away
You’ve made your way without him
With loneliness now our common friend
You asked if I would stay

Old eyes can see much deeper now
Sweet thoughts within your heart
We share with words and the kiss of lips
We give our silent vows

Spread before me as a gift for kings
Your soul still wrapped in beauty
I press in slow to accept your call
As our passions softly sing

Your spreading breasts are warm to touch
I cup them in thankful hands
Memories of lovees are all erased
Lost in your loving clutch

In our love there seems a sweetness
As our frames gently entwine
We give our bodies now at death’s door
And in that we fine completeness
