Open Letter to Albert Mohler

OPEN LETTER to the president of Southern Baptist Seminary, Louisville KY
Men wrote the Bible, but that doesn't stop God from writing it thru those men. Likewise, evolution produced mankind, but that doesn't prevent God from working thru evolution (gene mutations) to create the first humans. Mr Mohler, you appeared in a video on YouTube, months ago, in which you came down in favor of the literal interpretation of the "days" of Creation Week in Genesis chapter 1. You found the alternative explanations to be unconvincing. You made no effort to present the creation account in Hebrews 11.3 as a parallel passage to Genesis 1. If you had done so, your viewers would have discovered that the apostle Paul speaks of eons ("aionos" in the Greek) in place of days. Where Moses spoke of days, Paul speaks of eons. WHY COULDN'T YOU SHARE THAT DECISIVE DATA WITH YOUR VIEWERS ??!! Millions of Christians would like to be freed from the confinement of a 6 24-hours Creation Week. Why, because the evidence says the universe is billions of years old, according to scientists. Having to refute or oppose science - Christians are not naturally anti-science. If Christian leaders could reconcile science and the Genesis account, millions of Christians would be relieved. YOU had the opportunity, in your video, to be a reconciler. But you squandered it. Pardon me, but "blind guide" is a Biblical term that captures my opinion of you.
