feelings die when memories lie
sometimes a whisper, sometimes a shout
bad blood will...will out
keep to the truth of you and be happy
sinister stirrings will pass
on the winds of fate your undoing
if you heed not this warning
keep the faith of your lover
you're everything in his eyes
fantom wants are the killer
to a good thing gone awry
you'll cut out your heart to rewind time
kiss the sidewinder and you'll see
the metaphor of living
is in the keeper of hope's eyes

That second to the last stanza is very true. But the "you'll cut out your heart to rewind time" line resonates with me, perhaps bringing me old memories as well.
