Love was so good when it began,
But our love ended too quickly.
It’s been less than a year since we met.
We made each other so happy.
It was the romance of our dreams.
Darling, you were hot like a flame.
Now the fire of love is gone.
Why did our love end so quickly?
Things aren’t the same as they were.
We don’t see eye to eye anymore.
I’m not the man you desire.
You’re not the woman I want to hold.
Did you really love me, Opal?
How did we fall in love with each other?
Our feelings changed so quickly.
And now we’re looking for a new love.
But our love ended too quickly.
