Happy Being Happy
People are seldom happy being happy
They're greedy and always wanting more
They'll take a chance on losing everything
Even if it sinks their lifeboat off shore
There is no such word as contentment
Most people just aren't built that way
They may have everything they ever wanted
But at the drop of a hat they'll throw it all away
So everyday I tell my wife I love her
I let her know that she is a major piece of my heart
Cause I know we'll either grow old together
Or we'll find that we grew too far apart
When I look into her eyes I see the future
When I look into a mirror I see the past
Begging me to ask the question
What can I do to make the happiness last
Never take for granted the things you already have
Never assume they can't just disappear
Let the people around know you love them
Let them know you're glad they are here
They're greedy and always wanting more
They'll take a chance on losing everything
