9th Birthday Tribute
Happy birthday baby boy
You should have turned nine today
While our lives continue to grow and change
your birth feels like only yesterday
Would the tooth fairy have visited
When you lost a tooth
I'm guessing probably not
As mum and dad believe in telling the truth
Would you have been a gamer?
Asking for the latest console
By now you'd understand
room cleaning equals money, giving you control
Physical and emotional milestones
aplenty this year
Spending time away from mum and dad
Much cooler hanging with your peers
Maturing into a young man
another growth spurt on the cards
Old enough to play Auskick,
Dad would have trained you hard
Consciously now evolving
Your dad is gaining inner peace
Finding a breakthrough
The first step thanks to Sud Guru
Mum evolving consciousness
takes a different form
When riding Max and mucking out his pen
she experiences the ultimate Zen
Your beautiful little sister
persuades dad to dance and make tic-tocks,
She paid to train a horse
Using little to no force
You would have been proud
to take mum and dad to school
The most relaxed parents around
Neither bound by societies rules
Your parents and I
Will never forget your beautiful face
A precious gift
born to teach us grace
As another year passes
Your memory remains strong
Happy birthday angel boy
To our family, you'll always belong.
You should have turned nine today
While our lives continue to grow and change
your birth feels like only yesterday
Would the tooth fairy have visited
When you lost a tooth
I'm guessing probably not
As mum and dad believe in telling the truth
