Valley of Cain
One step forward, two steps onwards,
A thousand flies cry out in pain,
A thousand lies echo through the Valley of Cain,
One step forward, two steps onwards,
Exhaustion feasts,
Gasping breaths,
Bloodcurdling screams,
Three steps forward, four steps onwards,
Shivering skulls and clattering bones,
Rusted swords, eyes of sin,
Three steps forward, four steps onwards,
Living graveyard,
Utmost truths,
Bloodless chalice,
Five steps forward, six steps onward,
Flesh decays, truth revealed,
Powerless fruit, non-existent gate,
Final step towards the Valley of Cain,
Abhorrent verity frees the mind.
