Have I fallen in love
with the real you?
is your hand a mere glove?
loving gaze untrue?
should I too don a mask
play the smitten, pretend
our passion, desires match
joined flesh an ordained blend?
still the needle on my compass
points in your direction
I’ll worship you in sacred mass
dine on your deception
believe your every amorous word
though I know them to be fiction
my truth thought clear
by obsession blurred
you’ve become my new religion

Beautiful writing, you really captured how you can fall in love with someone only to find out they are someone else but you cannot let go. Love it.
