Stay away from who I am,
You won't get very far.
I used to give a damn,
but you can never fix the scars.
You'll never know my game,
Don't ask me how I feel.
When I hang my head in shame
Are you sure those tears are real?
It doesn't matter if I scare you,
You will never really see.
Don't try to be a friend,
When I don't want to be me.
What is this I'm turning into?
You can never feel my pain.
You couldn't even begin to
And I have only me to blame.
So stay away from who I am,
You won't get far at all.
Don't follow in my footsteps,
I'll just stumble then I'll fall.

this is my daughter i tried every thing to change her life but never could but now she is finally clean and i am so grateful, its been a hard road but it is so worth it i am so proud of her..\ mOST OF U DONT REALIZE IT BUT MOST OF HER POEMS WERE WROTE WHEN SHE WAS SIXTEEN AND AT THE PEAK OF HER ADDICTION I SPENT MANY SLEEPLESS NIGHTS CHASING HER.Right now i am very proud of her, she is clean over 2 years with 2 children doing very well which she was pregnant with and started methadone during her second pregnancy, if she can change and restart life anyone can. I love her and am very proud of her!!
