Yesterday's Back Again

Hide in stocks of corn.
Run in fields of wheat.
So long as the wheat’s not trampled.
Underneath her feet.

Dwelling in the barley.
Live among the oat.
Drinking wine and honey.
Down her grizzly throat.

Years have come and years have gone.
Flying by between her songs.
From the northern forests sent.
See her tail and compliment.
Mountains bring the marten pelts.
Summer comes and snows doth melt.
Time passes, long grasses bend.
Yesterday is back again.

Visiting her homeland.
Venturing afar.
Telling of her story.
Dancing beneath the stars.

Feasting on the apples.
Devouring the pears.
Give her honeyed peaches.
Feed the wolf with care.

Years have come and years have gone.
Flying by between her songs.
From the northern forests sent.
See her tail and compliment.
Mountains bring the marten pelts.
Summer comes and snows doth melt.
Time passes, long grasses bend.
Yesterday is back again.
