so, conflicting pain must be the game.
To wound to make vulnerable
for this makes it more tolerable.

To win this game you must cheat,
to strike when your opponent is weak.
when fresh love and thirst
for one another is lost.
it comes at a tremendous cost,
for this person you claim to adore
clearly you love no more.

It has become a competition
of who has the best front
and the least heart.
Like finding a knife in the dark
To stab the curious eye
or unsuspecting is clearly a crime.
Yet i have served no time.
this game or emotional ping pong
has left me motionless.
