25000 Light Years From The Galactic Center, Something Stirs In The Darkness

verticality
of towering evergreens

cradled inside
a teardrop

this is what my eyes
endure

pulling the half moon
closer

fingers digging
out ancient caverns

patient eons
punctuated by meteors

damage inflicted

explosive emptiness
oddly recomposing
with infinite spidery quantum worldlines

billions of eyes
absorbing pale reflections
of the sun

each mind a single silken vector
sipping from the devouring lava
of present circumstance

what is it
that we are?

multiplicity
on roller skates

the arc
of history

coalesced
into the press
of a button

a molecular clock
ticking to the sound
of an accelerating cosmos

grabbing hands caressing
against the sides
of this fiery crucible

contemplation
innervation

deep cypher
carved from the lovely pain
of poetry

totem pole
gleam stabbing
into night

repair manual for the heart
splayed open

instructions dancing
against the crackling firelight

casting magnificent
flickering shadows

moments of knowing
line the waterways of existence
like paper candles

drifting towards
the horizon

helical significance
fluttering wildly

into the dizzying
stars

into the dizzying
stars
