Racheal (Pt. II)

Our promises were kept even through hardship.
The feelings fused our souls by fate's graces that day.
Our lives are connected by eternal friendship.
The roads were unpaved, so we paved our own way.

                           The Moon rises over my home,
                            but I only see the stars;
                            and as I look,
                            I can't help but wonder,
                            "Are you looking too?"

The light still shines through hollows
of heart and soul; even the deepest
scars have bottoms. It follows
that by now our spirits have coalesced.

                            When you see the Moon,
                            do you focus on only the stars?
                            Do you let the light shine through
                            hollows of heart and soul?
                            Even the deepest of scars have a bottom.
