A  counter clockwise clock

I want you to let me in;
In your heart, not just under your skin.
I want to know what you are like;
To see how much we are not alike.

I want you to hold me; never to let me go;
Make me feel something that I do not know.
Look into yourself and see if their a place for me;
Without you; I will never be.

To die without you; I don't want it this way;
If I was to die tomorrow; what would you say?
Would you visit me, or give me flowers?
Pronouncing your love; your tears of showers.

I've tried to be a part of your life;
Maybe a picture one day as my wife.
I will settle for a handshake and even a hug;
When you withdraw; not a treatment for your drug.

I know it might not make sense to you;
My inside love for you is long-overdue.
I wish I can turn back the clock of time;
Undue the things I've done, and make you mine.

I might not look or feel as you knew me;
People change and conform like water on the bottom of the sea.
I really haven't changed; just aged a  bit;
Not so stubborn; I could commit

For minutes,hours, and many days on end;
To have a true love I could never comprehend.
For have nothing that goes right in my mind;
A dream that was dreamt was left behind.

I'm drowning in my chosen fate;
Just to realize my regrets when I hesitate.
I was to casual; it seems like to me
Only to end up as loves casualty.

They say that good things come to people that wait;
Good things are gone for those are too late.
Now I know I will never have that chance;
I didn't know our first would be our last dance.

I held you close and felt your heart next to mine;
They were both beating in perfect time.
Only if my feelings that day would have awaken;
For I realize regret is a risk not taken.

For those who feel as if your friend means more;
Let them know that you need them for sure.
Seeing past the friendship might be like looking for snowflakes hell;
How would they know if you never tell?

A unknown tragedy for two that was never known...
