Thief in the Night

I'm moving like a criminal
You can tell I did this before
You can tell I've been here before
It's all the same, it's too predictable
Searching for a girl that can heal my soul
I fall just to break up, this won't be my first time
My second or my third time
I said some things, you said some things, I hurt your feelings and you hurt mine
But I hurt you more than you hurt mine

It's not a secret, I know she knows she caught my eye
And vice versa, so no surprise when I came knocking by
She gave the green light, we started talking, "Hi."
I tried to show my best side, show that I'm an awesome guy
She was amazing, we were vibing, we were clicking
We fell fast, then I begged for distance
She told me I was wrong for that, I knew that I was wrong for that
But still I was gone like that

This won't be my first time moving like a thief in the night
I want your love but I can't seem to get it right
Guess I'll just re-roll the dice
This won't be my first time; I killed that flame burning bright
I'm sorry that I brought that pain to your life
I left without saying goodbye

This won't be my first time, my second or my third time
Moving like a thief in the night
