I say to any previous masks,
previous truths,
previous tags,
previous identities,
previous strife,
previous duality,
and to naysayers and doubters,
both past and anon:
“Bye.”
Nary a thing will deter me
from greeting this new sky,
for I have now risen as revelation,
and living as I truly am.

Author's Note
A brief, concise poem I wrote when I came out very recently this year as nonbinary. It's sort of reflective of the fact that while I did want to make it known to people, I didn't want to make a huge deal about it either.
