Calling for Intergalactic Asylum to Our Cosmic Courts and Territories
To the appropriate
celestial jurisdiction of our
galaxy and planet
The people of earth
are distressed
and persecuted
by unknown forces
costing us thousands
of lives daily
our children and poor
are starving now
a quarter billion
cannot eat or
very nearly so
Oppression
has left us
weakened
desperate
and demoralized
As Abraham of earth rescued
his friends and relatives
I humbly request
relief and aid
if you are children
of our Father and do His will
Whether you be God’s
angels/and or aliens
...we see you
You have laws, too!
I claim my full rights
as a sentient
compassionate
citizen
of this galaxy
Render all reasonable
aid
God will grant us
for
our restoration

What is asylum?
Asylum is a form of protection granted to individuals who can demonstrate that they are unable or unwilling to return to their country because of persecution or a well-founded fear of persecution on account of:
race,
religion,
nationality,
membership in a particular social group,
or political opinion.
The right to seek asylum was incorporated into international law following the atrocities of World War II. Congress adopted key provisions of the Geneva Refugee Convention (including the international definition of a refugee) into U.S. immigration law when it passed the Refugee Act of 1980.
