My Paradise
My paradise is a place where I can walk freely without fear of a lingering eye or unsolicited touch.
A place where sexist ideas, objectification and entitlement to my female body are unwelcome and no where to be found.
Where I don't worry about how late it is and the potential threat of walking alone.
My paradise is a place where the word "no" is accepted without agitation and is not a trigger for assault or murder.
A place where I don't have to teach my female child life saving skills for social situations.
Where I don't have to instill a fear which is passed down from generation to generation and groom her to avoid assault in a world that victim blames.
My paradise, you sexist pig, is not a place where I am shut in the house waiting for my man to come home so I can greet him like a docile pet.
A place where sexist ideas, objectification and entitlement to my female body are unwelcome and no where to be found.
