When a Woman's Heart Reads Through
In a world of scattered books,
I must say your clean cut pages caught me in the throat.
—Torn edges cut sharp by razors edge.
Paper cut kisses leave me with cherry red ecstasy on my tongue.
Your pages wrap me in a cocoon
As your dark truths leap at me
From corners you've folded to hide from view.
Your fairytale lies coat your story so silkily
Like concubine legs in a royal bed.
Such a soldier in your battle worn armor!
You speed off into the night carrying your burdens
Weighing heavier than all the mail in the world.
Silly strong shouldered urchin as though you believe you are...
Don't know you know you could be a king?
