Tales of a dysfunctional office - Chapter 1

Waking up to looming grey sky's
The weight of the world on his shoulders and strain on his chest.

He knows colleagues are gunning for him today
But the shots they'll take don't require a bullet proof vest.

Running past screaming kids and darting in and out of beeping cars
He rushes to catch the train.

Last week was miserable and depressing he predicts the same again.

Trying to get through a work load that’s stacking up is just part of everyone’s weekly trend.

But it’s interrupted by non-productive meetings there obliged to attend.

Every meeting directors telling grown men and women fairy-tales about the company’s future direction and prospects overall.

Telling them there respected, valued and that business will be booming by March
But by the 1st April the directors and those that believed them are looking a fool.

Liabilities disguised as Assets because they look and sound like their seniors.

If they laugh at there jokes and cater to there ego's than a blind eye will be turned to there misdemeanors.

Vision impaired by Self-interest, mind clotted with ignorance and predominately spineless the DNA of the main boss.

Personal Greed and arrogance fades out any faint signs of remorse, like a sprinter in a race the line is something they will regularly cross.

Accusations and criticism broadcasted loud and publicly.

While apologies and honesty whispered behind closed doors quietly.

They hold back those they don’t want to see as their equal and those that see their real agenda in the office.

Insecurities are exposed as a cauldron of emotions, ego’s and personalities is the concoction created in the office.
