Something Magical

Poems are like forbidden tunes,
Something like magical runes,
Deep within the word and beyond the letter,
There's an image of something better,
Just like a sound you can't describe,
Or color with a wonderful feeling inside,
The blessing of expressing our deepest thoughts,
Is something that we all were not taught,
When words have more meaning then hype,
Giving us a reason to write,
while symbols can not be broken,
because they are spiritual tokens, better yet spoken,
Using words that dance to enhance our romance,
Like a living flame that we can not contain,
Might be a class, but there's no school,
Making poetry is the best possible human tool,
while poems with shape and meaning, keep us dreaming,
Of the breathable, achievable and, conceivable,    
SO if our feeling are this deep,
Losing sleep from those who weep,
What more can we keep before we leap,
