Brace For Impact

Bare with me, you see I never experienced death you see.
I was living my life in the hundred acre woods,
Eating honey sipping lies, Believing life was all good.
Failing to foresee the red sea slowly engulfing me.
Life comes at you fast.
Death hit me with a upper cut, jab cross
Took out one of my brightest lights
I had no chance.
It was only 3 seconds into the first round
I was leaning, I couldn’t stand.

Grim reaper told me I was his inn keeper
Dropped his bags at the front door
He appeared eager
I became weaker
I wasn’t built for contact sports
He went into my room hijacked two lights both inscribed matriarch
Slowly dimmed their lights
Now they on life support.

All I can do is pray for grace...mercy
In fact in contrast I’m just bracing for impact.
It’s a shame
2:54 left on the clock
Hands level, elbows tucked to my sides.
Cowering behind my gloves
No intention to fight back
Just hoping I make it through this next impact.
