There's a phantom in the
hallway to my heart,
the thing just screams.
I try to drink it quiet
but it never really shuts up
even at the bottom of a bottle
I can still hear a shrill hum.

heartily rendered Nik! the songs & screams of a heart.. in all its phases & phantoms & all.. all still heard loud & clear. Loved your precisely incisive words & superbly hitting brevity, time & again.. the haunting artistics of the pic add more punch to the drink ;) love your titles adding more dimensions.. keep writing, light & love ev x:)

Epic write ... And pic ... We all have our demons ... Some are easily quieted, others not so much ... Drowning, anesthetizing, sexing, and ignoring them tends not to work ... I suggest making friends with them, find their core and talk or write them into non-existent or submission ... whom checker they prefer ... Privately fine, only the process matters ... Bless and much love ... .
