What’s in a Name....
I heard a name, it burned into my mind like
the sun through a prism. I heard the sound of
a smile and the mystery of a being. That sound
reordered my thoughts, creating a new normal.
The name haunts me, scares me, thrills me.
Then, there she is, shinning like the sound
of her name and the mystery of her smile.
The moment is frozen in time.
We are joined, like rivers that flow to the sea
are one with the sea, no longer separate.
Years pass but the moment remains, still
frozen. I look in the mirror
and I don’t see me, I see an old man
clinging to her name and image. Time has
taken me but she still remains 16,
etched in my heart forever.
