Web Of Forgiveness

The crusty web of forgiveness
weighs heavily on the mind
as I lay in a tomb
of broken glass
beneath a soggy bed of moss
surrounded by finks and fiends
beggars and rambling poets
each loyal to nothing
more or less
than their own cryptic messages
on doubt, loss, hope and love
as a nations faith rots away
the dead meander
and volley gossip
about a life
in which they never knew.
