reading etchings upon my heart
by flickering candlelight
felt beautiful passion
as it danced upon memories
no words were written
but a special purple rose
resting between faded
wrinkled empty pages
first one you gave to me
your purple rose I forever be
how my heart trembles happily
can’t put feelings into words
for there is where
your name is etched.....
permanently sealed with kisses
where luv for you
so deeply felt and true
that needs no words
secrets we’ve shared
are freshly inked in purple
