The prospect of a clean break.
Not to have to carry this terrible load around anymore.
Not to have to think about that Weekend Away.
The fighting.
The drinking.
The crazy heat that made them all mad.
How everything went wrong and backfired, and an innocent man got sent to prison.

I can relate to this piece as I have witness this type of relationship with someone who just didn't want to understand that I had enough of the senseless drama and stress therefore cause I wanted to leave she called the cops on me telling them I hit her which I didn't the things folks will do to you when you want to leave them cause of hurt and pain and insanity nicely composed brother...respect
